Little Beaver Placer Claim - Wyoming

Located on Little Beaver Creek outside of Atlantic City, this was one of our favorite camping sites - although the gold was very scarce.  The area is very peaceful and serene with a lot of area to explore.  In early fall, we were awakened in the early morning hours by the bugling call of a male elk as he led his harem through the valley.

Large flat outcrops of rock form small, natural waterfalls and have provided some great "sunning" spots.  Remnants of an old cabin and root cellar make for a very picturesque hide-away!
